The write-up

Barbeque and burgers to eat

One of the first things noticeable when entering the farmers market was a large white sign. On the sign, under the words “Fat Belly BBQ,” is a picture of a pig, stomach full, sitting in a law chair by a barbeque.

As obvious from the name, the owners of this tent, the Tighe family of Georgetown, were selling BBQ sandwiches made from pulled pork. Elaine and Kevin, who were at the stand this week with their son Kevin Jr., said they have been making the sandwiches for a little over a year.
Also for sale was a variety of homemade jams which Elaine has been making for years.

Customers who wanted another option for something to eat could find it at the Camp Denison stand where hamburgers and other items were being made and sold.
